Two shows, two venues

Discover two different sides of Valletta through live music and theatre, performed in the historic spaces at the heart of their stories. The productions run on alternating nights in venues just a few minutes’ walk apart, making it easy to experience both during your stay in Valletta.

An evening in Valletta

The city is the set

Valletta is half a square kilometre of limestone built by a religious military order that had just survived a siege. Everything in it was put there on purpose, and most of it is still standing.

We don’t build sets. The Caravaggio Experience is staged in the Oratory of St John’s Co-Cathedral, before the only painting Caravaggio ever signed, in the room it was made for and the room in which he was expelled from the Order of St John.

Sailors in the City Experience is staged inside Sailors’ Paradise, a surviving Strait Street bar surrounded by original artefacts from the street’s colourful past.

Both productions are performed in English by exceptional Maltese musicians, singers and actors. The rooms are intimate, the audiences small, and the surroundings are part of the story.
